I just received a book to review called a "A Year With Jesus" and it is a great read. I love the layout of this book that was written by R.P.Nettelhorst and published by Thomas Nelson. There is a scripture passage to each day in Jesus' Own Words, this has readings for every day of the year. I like this book because you are getting scripture reading every day and the passages are short, just one page so these are quick reads for a person with a busy life. Read this book and find comfort and peace in the stresses of life.You will gain strength from these passages. Many times we fail to read the bible but if you have this book you are getting scriptures daily in this quick read.
This would make a nice Christmas Gift for anyone on your list. What a better time than Chrismas to share this book with your friends and loved ones as that is really what Christmas is all about.
The only thing I found that this book is lacking is a daily prayer for each day.
